Convergent billing
Commonly refers to a billing
system that had been adapted to handle more than the
standard postpaid payment mechanism and can handle real-time
interactions for prepaid and hybrid prepaid/postpaid
accounts. It can also refer to a billing system that
aggregates transactions from multiple upstream billing
or rating systems in order to produce a single bill
covering multiple services.
