Cellcos failing to get premium-services
pricing right.

Mobile operators
are failing to attract customers with sufficiently attractive
prices and packages for premium services, according to a survey
conducted by ICM on behalf of dynamic-tariffing specialist Highdeal.
Although operators are offering increasing numbers of new services, such as
video telephony, MMS and mobile e-mail, research indicates that there is still
low demand for these services. According to the survey of UK mobile customers,
80% of mobile users are still not buying premium services. Of the one-fifth
that is shelling out for premium services, the most usual amount spent was £ 2-5
($3.85-9.70) a month. Only 1% of respondents regularly spend more than £30
a month.
