at transaction specialist Highdeal, suggests IMS could prove
a big hit with the mainstream media at a time when mobile
operators are counting on content to drive future revenue.
“Right now media companies see mobile networks as little
more than a distribution mechanism for their mobile downloads,
but IMS has the potential to do so much more, “ he says.
“IMS is really an application environment as apposed
to a technology platform and it will alter operators DNA towards
a web-site style way of working that is familiar to the content
community.”
