Fixed-fine OSS/ BSS contract awards
hit five-year Iow, but OSS offers some hope

OSS Observer report ranked Highdeal
in the top four companies in the OSS/BSS sector achieving
more than 8 contract wins globally in a 12 month period.
The number of publicly announced OSS/
BSS contracts for fixed-line services in the 12 months to
end-November is the lowest such figure recorded since the
Informa Telecoms & Media Contracts Database, from the
publisher of OBA, was established at the beginning of 2000.
Numbers of contracts - including those for cable, broadband
and IP networks - fell from 415 in the 12 months to endNovember
2005 to 360 in the same period a year later… Portal
Software ( now part of Oracle), Amdocs, Convergys , Highdeal
and Motive have all announced deals in the last 12 months
in each of the four geographic regions
