selects Highdeal for industry-leading M2M platform

February 15, 2005 – New
York – SensorLogic, the industry’s first M2M application
service provider, announced today the selection of Highdeal,
the leading provider of pricing and rating solutions, for their
machine-to-machine (M2M) service platform. SensorLogic chose
the entire Highdeal Transactive product suite which includes
offer management, pricing, rating, billing and partner settlement.
SensorLogic will incorporate the Highdeal capabilities into
its end-to-end ASP platform built for M2M service providers.
As an emerging market, M2M providers need
to experiment with pricing models to determine how best to monetize
their M2M assets. With Highdeal, vendors will be able to bundle
applications, airtime, devices, and other primary and resold
services into a compelling offer. M2M providers can price their
services to meet their business objectives, called RightPricing™.
Objectives can include fostering adoption of a new service, managing
razor-thin margins, and leveraging complex, multi-tier value
chains.
By offering industry-specific applications,
large OEM vendors are becoming M2M service providers, a trend
that is forecast to increase exponentially in the coming years.
The SensorLogic solution, with transaction processing by Highdeal,
will enable companies like these to develop new application-based
profit centers.
Today, many M2M service providers are small,
entrepreneurial companies without the scale to build their own
infrastructure. With the SensorLogic solution, smaller vendors
who contribute to the M2M value chain can benefit from the same
capabilities without a big upfront investment.
Highdeal Transactive enables M2M providers
to combine subscriptions with metered usage and transaction-based
charges, both on a postpaid basis and with real-time spending
controls. Since many M2M services address enterprise customer
needs, providers need the ability to price their services to
stimulate adoption. For example, providers can address customers’ concern
regarding out-of-control invoices by providing self-imposed spending
restrictions.
