Highdeal reduces the time to bill
for customers of the
French Polynesian Postal and Telecoms Office
Paris – March 22, 2006 - The Postal
and Telecoms Office of French Polynesian (OPT), the incumbent
provider of new technology in the Pacific region, has selected
Highdeal, the leader of pricing and rating for new services,
to replace its billing system as part of a modernization program
for its entire information system.
OPT, which provides a range of services such as fixed and mobile
telephony, internet access, satellite television, financial and
postal services, has selected Highdeal to speed the launch of
new offers as part of a range of technical and sales management
improvements. The new system will provide a single customer information
and billing system from which OPT will be able to manage customers
and provide value-added services such as on-demand bills in real
time.
OPT selected Highdeal Transactive® to handle the pricing,
rating and billing functions within the new information system
to enable the introduction of diverse offers and new services
such as triple-play for TV over ADSL. A key requirement when
choosing Highdeal was the synergy with the information system
used by Mana (ISP subsidiary), who have successfully been using
Highdeal Transactive billing for their IP service for the last
two years. Thanks to open Java/XML APIs, Highdeal Transactive
was quickly integrated within the new system.

which is a critical
requirement for OPT. Billing a user in a remote valley in the
Marquises would take several weeks just to reach the customer.
The online billing and payment service has now reduced this
time to under a day saving time and money.”
