OSS/J Pricing API: Quickly and Seamlessly Integrate
Pricing Capabilities into Your OSS
This informative seminar will
explain how the OSS through™ Java Initiative (OSS/J) Pricing API can reduce implementation times, and lower
integration and maintenance costs. The OSS/J Pricing
API acts as a standard for defining and using complex
pricing data and business rules to address usage-based
business model needs for the telecommunications, entertainment
and utility industries.
The Pricing API provides a central
point to consult and determine offers and prices based
on a variety of criteria, including the specific customer's
profile, location, current promotions, other parties
in the transactions, factors unique to the request,
and any other set of complex, possibly inter-related
points.
OSS/J has been at the forefront
of defining, in an open standard fashion, OSS-specific
APIs and design guidelines for mainstream technologies
such as J2EE and XML. This work is based in part on
the TeleManagement Forum's New Generation OSS (NGOSS)
shared Information/Data (SID) Model and represents an
implementation view of the NGOSS architecture.
